Privacy policy

Voilacut is used by creators around the world and run by Clemine Studio Enterprise (Malaysia, LA0094130-D). This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how long we keep it. Short version: we use your clips to make your videos, we delete them after 14 days, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Account: your email, your name, your plan and credits, and the vouchers you've used.
Your content: the clips, reference videos, briefs, scripts and brand kit you upload, and the videos we make. To edit, we also create temporary data from your clips: speech transcripts, still frames and an edit plan.
Payments: handled by Paddle. We see what you bought and your country, never your full card number.
Basic logs: technical logs (such as errors and timings) to keep the service working.

Why we use it

To provide Voilacut (make, review and deliver your videos), to sign you in, to email you about your videos and account (for example "your reel is ready" or a sign-in code), to handle billing and support, and to keep the service safe. We don't sell your data and we don't use your videos for advertising.

Services we use to run Voilacut

Like most apps, Voilacut relies on a few trusted service providers. They only handle your data to do their part for us, under contracts that protect it:

Cloud hosting (Singapore region): stores your files and runs the editing engine.
An AI model provider: helps plan each edit from still frames and transcripts, and translates captions or writes voiceover scripts when you ask. Your videos and data are not used to train AI models.
An email delivery service: sends our emails (sign-in codes, "your reel is ready").
Paddle: our reseller and Merchant of Record; processes payments, tax and invoices.
Website hosting and security: serves and protects voilacut.com.

Some of these providers process data outside your country. We only use providers with appropriate safeguards for international transfers. If you'd like the names of the providers we use, email us and we'll tell you.

How long we keep it

Uploaded clips, finished videos and their edit data: deleted automatically after 14 days.
Sign-in codes: deleted once used, or after 10 minutes.
Account and brand kit: kept while your account is open; deleted within 30 days after you ask us to close it.
Billing records: kept by Paddle and us as long as tax law requires.

Cookies and storage

We use your browser's local storage only to keep you signed in and remember where you were in the studio. We don't use advertising trackers.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct, download or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. We give everyone these rights, and we follow the privacy laws that apply where our users are, such as Malaysia's PDPA, the GDPR (EU and UK), US state laws like the CCPA (California), Brazil's LGPD, and the privacy laws of Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia and others. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days (sooner where your local law requires). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Voilacut is not for children under 13, or under the minimum age for using online services without a parent's consent where you live, if that's higher (for example 16 in parts of the EU).

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the studio first.
